Lotto Max Jackpot
Lotto Max is drawn every Tuesday and Friday at 10:30pm Eastern Time. The odds of winning the Jackpot are 1 in 33,446,140 a play, about 2.4 times harder than Lotto 6/49 (1 in 13,983,816).
A $6 play is four lines of seven numbers, the one you pick and three picked at random. Each line has a 1 in 133,784,560 chance. On top of the Jackpot, every draw has a $100,000 MaxPlus prize for each million in the Jackpot, and from $50 million, $1 million MaxMillions prizes.
Will someone win the next Jackpot?
The Jackpot for the draw on Tuesday 3 November is C$40M, and we estimate around 4.2 million plays will be sold. That's based on the 15 past draws with the closest Jackpots, from C$30M to C$55M.
The more plays are sold, the more likely the Jackpot is won, but also the more likely it is shared. If yours wins, there's a 12% chance that someone else wins too. The take-home amount allows for that. Lottery prizes in Canada are tax free!
Curious how we estimate ticket sales? We explain it in how many Powerball entries are sold.
The current run
The Jackpot was last won on 20 October 2026, when a single ticket won C$90M. Since then, it has rolled over 3 times.
